Tappers Cafe, PV 128 Setapak

Discovered this place by accident really. Wanted to try a local cafe at PV128 Setapak but the place was closed for an entertainment event. Explored this area and found Tappers Cafe.

The all-white decor attracted me to this place.

There are so many kopitiams around the city so the wonderful peeps behind Tappers Cafe wanted to provide something unique, in terms of cafe concept and food.

According to its website, Tappers Cafe drew its inspiration from this country's colonial heritage and the "snack bars" where Hainanese chefs would cook local and western cuisines. Of course, I am talking about the 60s or 70s here.

Local favourite: Sweet and Sour fish

Signature Dish: Hainanese Chicken Chop

I brought my Mum along and here's what she said: "Wahhh the food here reminds me of the yesteryears."

That's a great compliment right. I enjoyed my food too.
