We were at Pavilion for quick lunch the other day when we stumbled upon Grandmama's. At first glance, we thought it was the brainchild of a chain of restaurant which has a similar name, but the manager quickly did some explanation.
She is one cool grandma!
So Grandmama's has been around since 2012, with a concept to remind us of Grandma's cooking (hence the name!) in a contemporary setting. True enough, the ambience is sleek with pink and light blue as its core colour.
what to expect here: For mains, there are Nasi Lemak, Hainanese Chicken Rice, a range of noodles such as Assam Laksa and Beef Kueh Teow. As for dessert, there's Ais Batu Campur, Banana Fritters and more!
what we had: Nasi Ayam Istimewa which is a combination of tri-coloured rice, Assam Prawns, Beef Rendang and Fried Chicken Drumstick. The chicken is nice and hot (which we're thankful for) and the Assam Prawns is a nice add-on. [RM24]
what we had: Koong Foo Yin Yong - kueh teow with vegetables and seafood. A simple dish with a generous serving. To be honest, if you're a small eater than share this! Enough for two. [RM18]

price: Slightly pricey but it's Pavilion. Kita faham!
ambience: Cozy, warm and welcoming.
service: Staff are nice and friendly - and they're willing to do some recommendation if you're not sure what to eat here.
